The next phase of roadworks for the Access to Headington project started on 11 September - just as families return from their holidays, children are going back to school and students are returning to Oxford Brookes! This work on the junction of Churchill Drive and Old Road is due to last for 15 weeks. No doubt there will be further and considerable disruption to local traffic - especially at rush hour.
Please be aware (if you haven't seen already) that part of Lime Walk has been closed and some parking spaces suspended. If you live on Lime Walk you should have been informed about this directly by the County Council. If you haven't, do contact them.
The Slade:
Phase one is now complete and phases 2 & 3 are taking place from Dene Road to Hollow Way. Again; you can expect more/continuing disruption to traffic.
Headley Way/Cherwell Drive:
As previously reported, the next phase was postponed in July 2017 and will not be commencing until early 2018.
St Clements:
Again; work has been postponed while Thames Water carry out urgent work to the sewers.
