Film Night – Friday 17 November 2023 at 7:30 pm Upper Hall of Church House, 39D New High Street Hugo A very gripping and beautiful film made by Martin Scorsese apparently in response to a remark of his wife “Why don’t you make a film our daughter can see?” The central protagonists are two children on a quest. A story of determination, bravery and redemption. It is set largely in a Paris railway station in about 1930. U rated, but lots of peril! Winner of five Oscars and two BAFTAs. FREE ! But contributions accepted. Bring your own drinks and pop corn. Sorry, hitch with the refreshments!
