The Future of Green Spaces in Oxford and Headington. Presentation by Mattia Troiano, Project Leader Oxford University School of Geography and Environment. Mattia will describe the project, which seeks to research and improve how we protect and conserve our green spaces. Then we’ll have questions and discussion followed by refreshments at 9 pm. Saturday 9 March, 10:00-12:00
This annual event gives us a chance to clean up our local community and places a bit further afield like the Valentia Road Park and Boundary Brook. A really worthwhile occasion and enjoyable too. Meet by the Community Notice Board on All Saints Rd. Come, meet your neighbours, gather up the litter and clean up our streets, then chat over refreshments. Litterpicks, high-viz jackets and gloves provided, but feel free to bring our own. Friday 1 March 7:30 pm (Doors Open 7:00 pm)
Folk music concert HOW IT FEELS TO BE FREE: An evening of music and songs to reflect the struggle for freedom and to celebrate community and diversity with acclaimed local musicians and singers All Saints Church House, New High Street, Headington (upstairs hall) No admission charge, collection on behalf of Oxford Asylum Welcome Bar and refreshments. Please bring cash. (All proceeds to Asylum Welcome. Church House making no charge. FYI Church House also host an Asylum Welcome Boys club on Thursday evenings. Although upstairs there is a stairlift. Note that this event is nor actually organised by HRA, but by a group of people many of whom are in HRA.) Do remember this HRA event coming soon ......
HRA Street Carol Singing – Saturday 9 December. Do come and join Father Christmas and the rest of us in singing carols round the streets of Highfield. Starts at 6pm at the HRA noticeboard in All Saints Road. Refreshments afterwards in All Saints Church. The latest HRA update kindly produced by Hilary is attached, which contains information about other things happening in the next few weeks in our area. Best wishes, Your HRA committee The HRA spring litterpick is on Saturday 19th March. Meet up at the community noticeboard on All Saints Road at 10am and we'll spend an hour or so spring cleaning our local streets. We provide gloves and pickers and refreshments on completion. Its surprisingly good fun and very rewarding to see our neighbourhood looking bright and shiny afterwards. So come along with family and friends and join us on the litterpick.

As part of Spring Clean 2021 HIGHFIELD RESIDENTS’ ASSOCIATION is organizing a LITTER PICK OF OUR LOCAL STREETS AND NEIGHBOURHOOD Saturday 12th June 10.00am – 12.00noon Everyone welcome so come along and help us tidy up our neighbourhood. We provide gloves/equipment and refreshments afterwards. WE’LL ASSEMBLE AT THE COMMUNITY NOTICE BOARD ON ALL SAINTS ROAD AT 10AM JOIN US! Click here The consultation starts 18 Feb, with a closing date of 4 March. Some local residents have today received a hard-copy notice of this online consultation to develop another plot on the ORC. The new Institute will bring together the University’s Centre for Tropical Medicine and Global Health and the Nuffield Department of Population Health. The Centre for Tropical Medicine is currently located in the temporary building occupying the area to the north of the Innovation Building.
